Coaching is the new buzz word – bandied about by any Tom,Dick or Harriet who feels they are helping other people!!! There are many people out there who call themselves ‘Coaches,’ many of them with no formal training at all. When looking for a Life Coach, it is best to work with someone who has had training at a reputable institution, and is preferably a member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa)
Coaching is often confused with Counselling. Two very different things. Counselling is about delving into your past and understanding the way it affects your present. Coaching is all about moving forward into the Future – together we unpack your current Belief and Value systems, and spend a little bit of time discussing how those were developed, but then we build up Empowering Beliefs and choose a Value System for Success, to assist you on your way to achieving your goals!! You also get to understand how to balance your Needs and have a look at the way you Communicate! Coaching does not carry the same stigma as Counselling – one chooses Coaching when you want to Maximise your life, to find your Purpose, to achieve more. Coaching focuses on acceptance and observation of what currently exists in your life and what you can do by your own action and belief in yourself, to change it for the better.
